Whistler has a permanent population of around 13,000 residents, but this number swells significantly during peak tourist seasons.

Q. What is the best time to visit Whistler?

Whistler offers something spectacular year-round. Winter (December to March) is ideal for skiing and snowboarding, while summer (June to September) is perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and lake activities. Spring and fall offer fewer crowds and excellent deals.

Q. What time is check in and check out?

CHECK-IN  4:00 pm CHECK-OUT 10:00 AM.  We generally ask that you adhere to these times. If we can accomidate a late rental we will.

Q. Can we check-in early/check-out late?

Our normal check-in times are at 4pm and departure times are at 10am, however we do offer flexibility when available. Please check with yourPremium Experiences Representative for any special needs and requests prior to your trip.

Q: How do we get keys when we arrive at our property?

A Premium Experiences Representative will greet you for arrival at your rental property. You will be provided with keys or access codes and given a tour of the residence to familiarize you with the residence’s amenities and systems.

Q. Exceeding the maximum number of guests?

Any guests exceeding the standard occupancy per unit will incur a charge of $1000.00 per person per night, plus tax.

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

We suggest wire payment and cheque to avoid any fees.

We accept all major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Please note there will be a 4% sur charge for all credit cards.

All prices are listed and processed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

Q. What supplies are provided?

Our luxury vacation rentals are designed to provide comfort, convenience, and a five-star experience during your stay in Whistler.

Included Amenities:

  • Plush Linens & Towels – High-quality bedroom and bathroom linens for a cozy and restful stay.
  • Luxury Bath ProductsL’Occitane bathroom amenities for a spa-like experience.
  • Premium Robes – Soft, high-end robes for ultimate relaxation.

  • Kitchen Essentials – We provide basics such as salt, pepper, oils, spices, and dishwashing supplies.

For added convenience, we can pre-order groceries and Liquor and have them delivered directly to your rental before your arrival.

Q. Do you offer pet-friendly chalets?

Some of our properties do allow pets but not all. Pets will be approved on a case-by-case in writing with your Premium Experiences Representative. An additional pet deposit may be required.

Q. What is the minimum age requirement to make a reservation?

The minimum age requirement to book properties is 30 years for rentals.

Premium Experiences adheres to the British Columbia Human Rights Code and recognizes its responsibilities under the law. These terms, conditions, and booking policies do not limit an individual’s right to request reasonable accommodation based on protected characteristics, including age. In the event of any conflict between these booking policies and the BC Human Rights Code, the Code shall take precedence.

Q. Taxes

All rental property charges are subject to federal GST (5%), provincial PST (8%), and local MRDT (3%) tax.

GETTING TO WHISTLER

Q. Can you fly directly to Whistler?

Whistler does not have a commercial airport. The nearest major airport is Vancouver International Airport (YVR). For those that wish to fly in private, we do offer Heli Jet service direct from CYVR. (25 Min Flight)

Q. What is the best way to travel from Vancouver to Whistler?

The best way depends on your preference. Options include private transfers, rental cars, shuttle services, or even a scenic helicopter or float plane ride. See our GETTING HERE page to learn more

Q. Can you fly directly to Whistler?

Q. Is there a train from Vancouver to Whistler?

No, there is currently no direct train service from Vancouver to Whistler. However, the Rocky Mountaineer occasionally offers scenic rail journeys in the summer.

Q. Is it safe to drive to Whistler in winter?

Yes, but winter conditions can be challenging. Snow tires or chains are required from October to April, and the highway can be icy.

Q. Can I rent a car at Vancouver Airport to drive to Whistler?

Yes, major rental companies at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) offer vehicles suitable for the drive, including SUVs with winter tires. Please note, many vehicles only come with all season tires which is not suitable for driving to/from Whistler in the winter months.

Q. How do I get from Whistler Village to my rental property?

Many properties are within walking distance, but taxis, private drivers, and shuttle services are available for transport. Premium Experiences does offer a Private Shuttle Service during peak season.

Q. Is there public transportation in Whistler?

Yes, Whistler Transit provides affordable bus service throughout the village and nearby neighborhoods.

Q. How long does it take to drive from Seattle to Whistler?

The drive from Seattle to Whistler takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, depending on border wait times and road conditions.

Q. How long does it take to go from YVR to Whistler by road?

The drive from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Whistler takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on road and weather conditions.

Q. Can we store our luggage before check-in?

Yes, we offer luggage storage options for early arrivals or late departures. Please coordinate with our concierge in advance.

Q. Are there private transfer services from Vancouver to Whistler?

Yes, Premium Whistler can arrange luxury private transfers in SUVs, limousines, or sprinter vans for a comfortable ride. We also can provide private air transfers via helicopter from Vancouver International airport (CYVR) or Vancouver Harbour Heli Port. (25 Min Flight)

Q. Can I take a bus or shuttle to Whistler from Vancouver?

Yes, multiple shuttle services, including YVR Skylynx and Epic Rides, offer daily trips between Vancouver and Whistler.

Q. Do I need winter tires to drive to Whistler?

Yes, winter tires (M+S or 3PMSF rated) are legally required from October 1 to April 30 on the Sea-to-Sky Highway.

Q. Are there helicopter transfers from Vancouver to Whistler?

Q. Whats the No-Smoking Regulation?

Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited inside our units, on balconies, patios, and anywhere on the complex property.

Q. What amenities are in the bathrooms?

Our bathrooms feature premium toiletries (l’Occataine), luxury towels and branded premium robes. 

Q. Is there parking at my accommodations?

Yes, each rental includes at least one private parking space. Larger properties may have additional parking.

Q. Where can we park additional vehicles?

Additional vehicles can often be parked in designated overflow parking areas or public lots nearby. Contact us for specific recommendations.

Q. Do the chalets have air conditioning?

While most properties in Whistler do not have air conditioning due to the mild climate, many feature ceiling fans, portable AC units, or in-floor cooling systems.

Q. Can I request a private chef or catering?

Yes, we can arrange private chef services, catering, and grocery and liquor pre-stocking to enhance your stay.

Q. Do the properties have fireplaces?

Yes, most of our rentals include gas or wood-burning fireplaces to create a warm and cozy alpine atmosphere.

Q. Are your properties wheelchair accessible?

Some of our chalets are wheelchair-friendly with accessible entrances, elevators, and spacious layouts. Contact us for recommendations.

Q. Are all your properties ski-in/ski-out?

Some of our luxury rentals offer ski-in/ski-out access, while others are just a short distance from the slopes. Check individual property details or ask our team for recommendations.

Q. What Stay Enhancements Do You Offer?

Many of our rentals offer secure bike storage, either indoors or in a locked outdoor area.

Q. Can I host an event or private gathering in my rental?

Events and private gatherings may be permitted in select properties with prior approval. Please contact our team to discuss event options and requirements.

Q. Do the chalets have high-speed internet?

Yes, all our properties are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, suitable for remote work, streaming, and video calls.

Q. Can I request extra beds or cribs for children?

Yes, we can provide rental cribs, high chairs, and additional beds upon request.

Q. Do your properties have private hot tubs?

Most of our chalets feature private outdoor hot tubs, perfect for après-ski relaxation. Check the amenities listed for each property.
