From November 30th to December 4th, 2016, “Canada’s Coolest Film Fest” and “Whistler’s Best Arts & Cultural Event” will celebrate its 16th edition as one of Canada’s leading film festivals.

Featuring over 80 innovative and original films from around the world and opportunities to connect with the people who created them, this year’s five day Festival will be filled with a solid lineup of premieres, honoured guests, lively celebrations, and unique industry initiatives.

WFF is offering a sneak peek of what audiences can expect at this year’s fest including the first 14 confirmed films, plus industry and event programming highlights.

WFF combines an esteemed film competition with an intimate industry Summit that in 2015 attracted 13,332 attendees including 855 industry delegates. To recognize the vitality of the art form, WFF 2016 will feature ten juried competitive sections with 15 awards and one audience award selected from up to 1,000 submissions. Approximately 90 films from Canada and around the world (including 45 features and 45 shorts) will be presented.
