Arguably, beer is always in season. But this winter, craft beer is taking the limelight in après options in Whistler. (Sorry mass-beer lovers, this story isn’t for you.)

Established in 1989, Whistler Brewing is one of the originals in the craft brewing movement in British Columbia. Known for honouring tradition in brewing while staying at the forefront of innovations and new ingredients, Whistler Brewing offers a range of beers including their line of core beers, seasonal favourites, unique brews and mixers.

Rugged, wild and free, Coast Mountain Brewery opened their doors in 2016 as Whistler’s newest addition to the craft brew scene in British Columbia. Their tasting room is a local hangout and a tourist favourtie – known for their comfortable, relaxed vibe built for the mountain lover. Coast Mountain Beers embody a North American influence with ales and lagers coupled with a passion to explore traditional brews from across Europe.

You can find Whistler Brewing beer and Coast Mountain beer throughout the village or you can visit the breweries, have a pint and even take a tour. Both are located in Whistler’s Function Junction neighbourhood.

If you’re looking to sip on these local favourites or other craft beer options, HandleBar Café and Apres located in the upper village is just the spot. Handlebar promises you’ll drink insanely good beer with their range of beer options on tap and in bottle.
